Ciao,
Some new cool featured artists from Italy are in this month reviews. We decided to give some more space in this last tail of winter to artists from our home land, Italy!
Many productions good or bad as they are, it's not us the ones who have to judge, are put out in Italy by young and emerging artists who struggle to find some decent spaces to show their works and performances. You may know that this is the country of art but you may not know that, as in other counties, our people gives very little to no space to new productions and new trends in contemporary art productions. Only few spaces are available for performing and those few do not have a taste for new productions. This is the country of the "cover bands" … you can't play here unless you play someone else's music and definitely not your friends' band music (we tried this trick already!!).
Hopefully our will of promoting and expanding the reach of our Italian artists and non, will help the opening of places and minds to allow more and more live performances of any kind, from music to movies to installations and more.
For now let's make the best 0ut of what we have available.

Symphony X – Live and interview
The new single "Set the World on Fire". A very "dark" and somewhat mystical theme for this video taken from Paradise Lost directed by Ivan and Josip Colic.
We'll be meeting the band on Monday at their show here in Florence and we'll have a chat about them, their music and we'll shoot some pieces of the concert … stay tuned for next week release of the video interview.

Chitra Palekar winner of the DC Audience Award at the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival with the full feature "Maati Maay".
Chitra Palekar studied economics in Mumbai (BA at St. Xavier's College, MA at University of Mumbai) and started her career first as a leading actress and subsequently as a director in avant-garde theatre in Mumbai. She then worked in the cinema industry in various roles: actress, producer and screenplay writer. Maati Maay is her first movie as a director.

The label was founded in 1995 and the Stereo Deluxe acts are BOOZOO BAJOU, MO´HORIZONS, TRIO ELÉTRICO, THE STRIKE BOYS, JAFFA, SOUL´N´SODA, and of course THE FUNKY LOWLIVES, ROBBYN RHODES, BOBBY HUGHES COMBINATION (formerly bobby hughes experience) and THE SUPERIMPOSERS.
