Nightmares on Wax Long time Warp comrade George Evelyn aka E.a.s.e. returns with a new Nightmares on Wax single "195lbs" on 18th August followed by an album "Thought So..." on 25th August (or 2nd Sept in US & Canada)! Preview the single here The new material was inspired by a special journey from N.O.W.'s birthplace in Leeds to a new base located right in the middle of Ibiza. Instead of shipping all his studio equipment by boat, E.a.s.e. rose to the challenge of writing music on a unique road trip - thus the concept of "Thought So.." arrived from the process itself. Special audio broadcasts will be streamed live from Ibiza in August - stay tuned to the Warp site and N.O.W. spaces below! Nightmares on Wax - MySpace / Facebook Pivot Pivot will release their first album for Warp - 'O Soundtrack My Heart' - on 18th August 2008! The LP features 'In The Blood' alongside with 10 tracks which elegantly blur the distinction between live instrumentation, heavy electronics and epic soundtrack music. Peep the artwork by Michel Granger here, who's famous for his work for Jean Michel Jarre - also seen here painting with war tanks. Aside from their big shows in Australia with Sigur Ros (or their killer Y.M.O. support slot in London), a few European Festivals await during the summer and 20th Aug London Album Launch at The Roundhouse Studios - see all the dates below. View Pivot - In The Blood Music Video Free MP3 from Pivot Website Pivot Myspace Grizzly Bear   Chosen to support Radiohead on their upcoming tour, Grizzly Bear will be making appearances across the US this summer, including several headlining dates of their own - all dates in Warp Live below. The band will once again debut a brand new song on national television - this time on The Late Show - July 23rd - with David Letterman! The song is titled 'Two Weeks.' For this special performance, Grizzly Bear have enlisted the talents of Doveman on piano. As previously reported, Nico Muhly was set to appear, but cannot due to the date change. A Complete History of My Sexual Failures, the comedy documentary from independent filmmaker Chris Waitt, is in cinemas now. Also Donkey Punch, Olly Blackburn's eagerly awaited thriller, opens on July 18th. Lookout for a Warp Soundtrack for Donkey Punch - featuring original scored music by François-Eudes Chanfrault, who's signed to Asphalt Duchess - Grizzly Bear's first label based in France. Both films were screened at Sundance and the Edinburgh Film Festival to rave reviews. Flying Lotus Following last months release of killer, critically acclaimed album 'Los Angeles' (see this review from The Wire) comes part 1 of 3 limited EP releases - snap em up fast before they all go!
